Album of The Year - Endgame

I haven't listened to a lot of music from 2013 (and some of what I did I don't really look back on very fondly), but I was able to make a top 10 of the little I did listen to that year and still play to this day:
  1. Daft Punk - Random Access Memories
  2. Nils Frahm - Spaces
  3. Justin Timberlake - The 20/20 Experience
  4. Lorde - Pure Heroine
  5. Beyoncé - S/T
  6. Drake - Nothing Was the Same
  7. Ariana Grande - Yours Truly
  8. Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP 2
  9. Pusha T - My Name is My Name
  10. Tamar Braxton - Love and War
...and here's a playlist of that year's top 100 songs (a lot of which I'm not really fond of either, tho there's some gems).

I lIke seeing the casual lists, too! That Ariana album is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Fuck. What's the etiquette for altering my list? Should I edit my original post, or quote it with my revisions? Because Pure Heroine is one of my favorite albums of the decade but up until JUST NOW I could've sworn it was a 2014 album!

I saw others quote with revisions.

Well hell’s bells, I most certainly had ‘Light Up Gold’ down as a 2013 release in my pea brain… No matter, as I will displace them from their honorable mention position in my original list with:

BOAT – Pretend to Be Brave

An album that quite frankly deserved to crack my top ten but then the art of the list is such a fickle proposition to begin with…

2013 was a year of a lot of solid releases, but nothing amazing, for me. I'm kind of cheating with the Otis comp at #1, but it isn't a greatest hits album, all of the songs were selected to fit the theme and it was meant to sound like an album and it does. Plus it's one of my favorite albums ever, so yeah, I included it haha

1. Otis Redding - Lonely and Blue: The Deepest Soul of Otis Redding
2. Kacey Musgraves - Same Trailer Different Park
3. Streetlight Manifesto - The Hands that Thieve
4. Pretty Lights - A Color Map of the Sun
