Just went through the Coldplay discography again and my freshest ranking is
1. Parachutes
2. X&Y (This album is great and I won't hear otherwise!)
3. Viva La Vida
4. A Rush of Blood to the Head
5. Ghost Stories
6. Mylo Xyloto
7. A Head Full of Dreams
I was really getting into Johnny's guitar playing this go around.
Will be interested to see where the new one lands. I have high hopes so far!

Hey I think we may agree although I could swap 1 and 3 depending on the week I’m having. Yes X&Y was often referred to as my favorite Coldplay album , but viva is their best.

I only listened to the 'sunrise' portion and the pre-release tracks and so far it sounds like a top-tier Coldplay album and the best one of the decade easily.

Not yet. Does anyone know pressing quantities of silver, gold or clear? Not sure what's the most rare.
I heard gold was 5000. Silver is store exclusive and clear is UO exclusive ?

Also thanks to coldplaying I have the videos of sunrise and sunset , as well as the MP3 versions , as well as all the featurettes and the 12 mins before sunrise.

This is top-tier of the Coldplay catalog. If someone put this at #1 I wouldn't be mad at that.
