I only now just got wind of Shabaka Hutchings's decision of ending his practice of playing saxophone at the turn of 2024. It is hard for me to process this information. He's one of the few modern musicians that revitalized my enjoyment in jazz in the last ten years.

Swans played for 2hrs 25min. I've never been so overwhelmed by volume + repetition in a concert performance in my life. Even with earplugs, I don't know how I made it through.
