No kidding. I don't even want it to bump up my rating. I want it so I can know the record arrived without any issues and I won't have a surprise awaiting me later.
As a buyer, I guess I never really think about it. If I send you money and you send me thing, and there’s nothing remarkable (positive or negative) then it’s just an even mark as everything worked the way it’s supposed to.
The more important point is that it helps others have a better sense of the seller, no? I mean when I'm on ebay or Cogs, the seller rating will sway my decision to purchase from someone. @Corycm, but I'm guessing if there was a problem you would post feedback, correct? So why post due to a negative transaction and not take the time to post for a positive one?
@ThePakoBuelna, I hate playing that game, but I can see why. I figure as a seller, if you paid without issue, I should go ahead and leave feedback at that point. As a buyer I ALWAYS leave feedback.
The whole review system is a game, which I’m realizing. I mean giving someone five stars for fulfilling the basic premise of the transaction feels ridiculous (thanks for not stealing!) but I guess it’s necessary. Yet another reason it’s just not for me.
@duke86fan did you not appreciate the tasty bon bons I sent you? They were the finest, not at all slightly poisoned confections that a farthing can buy... That's what you ordered, was it not?
If I had an overly positive or negative experience I leave feedback. Sadly, half the time it’s very much just a transaction and I don’t feel compelled to leave anything. I don’t leave a Yelp review every time I eat at a fast food restaurant.
@duke86fan Ugh, no kidding..I blame my lawyer for that... he signed away the movie rights for literally peanuts... accursed mythical creatures and their love for salted nuts...
