Anyone else wish Jennifer Trynin would do a vinyl reissue series? "Cockamamie" is one of the best albums of the 90's IMHO.

Yep. He hosts Party 360 on First Wave. Sirius has so many old VJs, and DJs that used to be on KROQ in L.A.

@TheMythOfSisyphus the owners had been looking to sell for someone to take it over. With the pandemic and no shows, the bills piled up. Last night they did a live stream of a final show and fundraiser to take care of the bills, but it's not sustainable without business.

I made my friends there. I formed and joined bands there. I played my songs there. Been going there for 17 years, and for the last 11 it was a second home. I don't know where we will go when this pandemic is over and it's not there anymore.

For those of you wondering, it's not punk.
I'd say the sound of the album is closest to Jay Som's Turn Into, Johnny Polonsky's Hi My Name Is Johnny, and Velvet Crush's In The Presence of Greatness.

@wokeupnew I can think of 2 or 3 Deicide albums that might rival your point. In fact my favorite album of theirs was slowed down when they recorded it because it was only 22 minutes! They ended up with a whopping 29 minutes when they were done but, if you listen live, they feel slow on the album comparatively.

I have been granted a 17-day waiver by the STATE which means I don't have to make up days in June AND I can telecommute.

A solo album by Peter Sotos (of Whitehouse) and produced by Steve Albini, it's a sound collage record of victims of child sex abuse, parents and police interviews he compiled from late night tv documents. Not pleasant.

Buuuuuut, a top 10 band for me is The Get Up Kids, so there's that.

There's songs on the album with more synths. And banjos. And pedal steel.

It's now called The Acoustic and, ironically, I played there last night with a different band:

[I'm the one in the Mick shirt playing the cream Mustang... I have two decent guitar solos, one at 3:36 and the other at 5:55, which is weird because I remember thinking at the time "I really need to practice."]
