"Throughout the month of June, we’re donating 100% of profits from our limited Pride apparel to The Trevor Project, whose mission is to end suicide among LGBTQ youth."

@mdmost thats admirable for sure, I’m just getting a little tired of the pandering, which seems to be particularly widespread this year. It also shows a lack of understanding of the significance of the rainbow, IMO. A multicolor pastel gradient does not a pride tribute make. But, it’s better than nothing so kudos to them for the effort at least.

Woof. Good for them donating the profits, but it'd be better if the stuff was identifiable as Pride-related. This seems really bare-minimum at best.

^^^Yup. My daughter has several shirts with pastel-ly rainbow letters. It sort of looks like that, and not all that pride identifiable.

"Woke" capitalism is always a problematic issue to say the LEAST. I'll give them a lot of credit for donating 100% of the profits though. The amount of companies trying to cash in on a long-burgeoning market now that it's socially acceptable to do so (as long as you're not "too gay" about it of course!) has always been so see-through, but 100% profit being donated is nothing to shake a stick at

@chrb98 i wonder if it’s just the profit from hats and t shirts being donated, or the records too. Either way, yeah, that’s way better than the usual companyspeak of “we’re donating a portion of profits” because we all know “a portion” means pennies

Agree that it's nice that they'll be donating 100% of the proceeds, but meh. At least they're not being weirdly vague about it like Sufjan Stevens and other companies.
