Made a trip into the Big Smoke for birthday dim sum and to trade in a few records. As I took the picture I realized that I grabbed Pink Flag by accident, instead of Chairs Missing. So looks like I will be doing a PIF when I get back from Copenhagen in a few weeks.

got to see them last week and it was a lovely fulfillment of a 25-year wish...
also glad to see another plush fan! "found a little baby/three-quarter blind eyes" is a top-5 7" for me.

I have OGs of the Codeine albums but jumped at the chance to get the box set.
And that Plush 7" truly is top 5. I have played it hundreds of times.
I was very well behaved today. I purchased only one album, the 2008 reissue of Mission of Burma in a 2LP edition with a DVD.
And an old friend surprised me bigtime with the new limited remastered Clutch album, Transnational Speedway League. He’s a big fan and credits me with turning him on to them back then.

Those Deluxe Missions Of Burma LPs are fantastic. I have the Deluxe Signals, Calls, & Marches. It’s pressed at RTI and sounds fantastic. I have the Vs. On my want list but have yet to pull the trigger.

So no buggles to be found - but she did finally get her Shakespeare’s sister album (£20 splatter vinyl reissue) she wanted for ages and a Susanne Vega for me (£4)
Good day 19 albums for a total of £120 between us / and my money was all from Xmas gifts !

I bought the box set back in 2017 when an online shop put them on sale. I paid £90 for it back then and I still can't believe how much it goes for now.
Crazy to think that just a few years ago the sale price for an 8-album (15-disc) box set, with a book, and slip mat, was just £90!!

Graham Collier Music - Portraits (Saydisc, 1973 First Pressing)
Bob Wallis, The Storyville Jazzmen - The Storyville Jazzmen (77 Records, 1957 First 10" Pressing)
Huge scores here with one of the few Graham Collier albums I am missing, but the big one is The Storyville Jazzmen. I've said before that Dixieland isn't my favorite kind of music, so it might seem strange that I bought this BUT it has a special importance. This 10" is the first time that drummer Ginger Baker was recorded and the release was pressed in an incredibly small run (supposedly less than 99!), and as a result it goes for eye-watering amounts of money. Discogs has 7 people owning a copy with the median sale price being an insane £589.94!

I already have a copy of the Don Shinn (including the bonus 7"), but this one has the very cool added bonus of being signed by Shinn himself! The latest from Ill Considered arrived a couple of weeks ago and I'm really looking forward to having a proper listen to it! Finally, a really exciting find in the first volume of the Down Beat Jazz Record Reviews. This one is missing the front cover but I don't mind too much, just happy to have it.

I haven't gotten around to checking this one out yet, but I've been meaning to. Now I've got no excuses. Very cool.
I actually looked for a copy of The Dan when I was last at my local but they only had brand new copies of whatever the current pressing is for about $40 canadabucks after taxes. I do intend to add your pick to my collection, but am hoping to find a used copy for $20 or less if I can (surprisingly it's not nearly as easy as I would have thought!)

I've already passed it and the Bandcamp link for the album on to at least 4 people I think might also really dig it. I suspect this will be in pretty heavy rotation around here -- especially because I think my wife will really like it as well. I can absolutely see why this ranked so high for you last year. Giving myself a gentle kick for overlooking it until now, but the experience of today has also been worth my having done so. Thanks again!
