Do you have anything by this reissue label? Rearward, I think. Seem to be rated highly on Discogs, but i can’t tell if it’s fully legit or grey market. May not matter much with Summer Dawn bc it’s basically impossible to come by on vinyl at anything in range of a reasonable price.

I have the first reissue pressing they did of this from a few years ago. I can try to give it a spin in the next few days. I remember it sounding pretty good. I don’t think it’s a grey market label but could be wrong. They have done a few Shihab titles

For folks in the US, Dusty Groove always has lowest prices on Sam Records, but they have a really good price on this Heath Bros. release, which I think is very good in terms of both performances and sound quality.

Saw that last week. They are damaged jackets which is why it’s so cheap!

The label is actually Schema and Rearward is one of it's sub labels. They are based in Italy but they have the rights to all of the Clarke Boland stuff (which is full of absolutely marvelous music) and some other ex-pat stuff. Dusty Groove used to always have this stuff kicking around, but it seems the well has run slightly dry. I suppose that they are represssing this material. As for the sound, probably as good as you are going to get at this juncture. I have a bunch of their Clarke-Boland and related LPs (like Shihab) and this one on CD. It's solid.

this one specifically sold out awhile ago and really spiked up in price. before the repress, the cheapest copy of the Rearward was around $100 on discogs.

Has anyone gotten ears on Elemental’s press of Conversations With Myself? I have a Verve 60th DMM from a handful of years ago that betters the current version available to stream, but it still isn’t great.
Didn't realize this had another reissue. I have the 2013 Euro Back to Black pressing. Dont spin it much because there are other Evans records I tend to prefer.

Speaking of Bill Evans, I really enjoy this record, which I dont think people talk about much. Check it out! Excellent live recording from the Village Vanguard in 1974. And usually affordable.

Picked up some cheap but alright-playing copies of Inside HiFi and El Sonido Nuevo. Just wanted to get out of the house and scored two albums I’ve been keeping an eye out for a while.

Bonus points: I couldn’t talk the curmudgeonly local shop owner down from $53 to $50. Record store charm!

My father-in-law brought what was left from his mom's collection, and these three 10" selections are a few of the biggest highlights:

The Desmond spine is a bit rough, otherwise the sleeves are in fantastic shape. At a glance the records themselves look to be too, but it'll probably be Sunday or Monday before I can really dig in and find out...

That Stardust version on Oberlin is one of my favorite songs of all time. Him and Desmond just sent that to the moon. Brubeck's block chording (i think thats what its called) on there is just so hypnotic
