Fucking hell. I’m trying to prepare for a talk I’ve got to give tomorrow and all day two flats above me have been at war. Fuck face one is banging on the wall all day no matter how loud the noise from fuck face two’s place is. Fuck face two is periodically reacting with burst of ear splittingly loud shit techno. This was a really nice place to live until fuck face one and fuck face two moved in just before Christmas.
Bending Hectic was fucking outstanding all the same!
The Smile are awesome live but this is the worst crowd I’ve ever been in. They’re as responsive as the dead, I could bounce through a swamp qucker! FFS lads, engage your arses!
Three pints and a good ole chin wag down and now I’m off to see the smile! Sometimes life is good!
When you watch a really terrible film but can’t turn it off because you realise it’s made literally next door to work and have to see if you stormed through the background at some point.
Also really enjoying the Liam Gallagher John Squire album. It isn’t groundbreaking, it isn’t all that original but it’s great to hear Liam singing to John Squire whose guitar playing is really spot on. It’s a lot of fun.
So I’ve ordered 3 signed records by my childhood hero. A 10” EP, a double live album and 12” single.
We’ll just not mention that my childhood hero wasn’t a musician, but a footballer…
My local looks like they’re starting stock mofi titles. The prices seems right and I would no longer need to import.

The new Smile album is fantastic. Bending Heretic is the best thing Yorke has been involved in a decade.
