    Record Store Day 2024

Dusty is tricky in this regard, they will often describe the sleeve, but the grading is strictly the record. They don't offer any grade on the sleeve. Never been wronged by their record grading, but buying online is definitely risky since they don't grade the covers.

Very excited for this one. I have a VG OG, but would love a mint copy with some stellar mastering. https://store.acousticsounds.com/d/174595/Alice_Coltrane-Journey_In_Satchidananda-180_Gram_Vinyl_Record

Love the twofers. There is a prestige one of Eric Dolphy's first two leader sessions that uses RVG plates. Usually pretty easy to find for under 20 bucks. The art is a bummer, but the music is one of the best deals in Jazz IMO. I have a Booker Ervin with Freedom and Space Book, another...

I put together an order of all the Evans Trio records with LaFaro from a Japanese seller, Ella Records. Made the shipping much less painful and this music is really perfect the dead silent quality that you typically get from Japanese pressings. One of my smarter moves as a collector honestly.

    Totally Tubular: The Tube Thread

Any other vintage tube freaks in here? I came up on some 50s and 60s Mullard 12ax7s. Keeping some for myself, but have 1 pair of long plate 1957, and a few pair of short plate 60s that I am looking to sell. They're not NOS, but they test well into the good range on my emissions tester and...

Some really great records there. I do not make it up to Milwaukee as much as I once did, but Acme is an absolute treasure of a shop.

I think I would put "Glass Bead Games" in the top 5 of 70s jazz.

Preorder showed up yesterday. Great pressing, super nice art, and some absolutely fantastic free jazz. Graves and Parker play so well together.
