Yes! Cannot wait for it. And the Martin Courtney solo you mention is gorgeous.

I agree and have a confession: I never really checked out The Lemon Twigs. Maybe it was their aesthetic that for me shouted "glam" in too strong ways, I don't know. I'm a typical 90s indie-head with grey jeans and button-down shirts... Anyway. Just the past few days I have started to check them...

Really digging this Diners album! Short and sharp songs, produced by power pop craftsman Mo Troper.

I follow SW Lauden on Substack. Lots of nice tips there for good stuff. Latest thing he posted was about Aussie guitar pop'ers Rinehearts. Really nice stuff just up my alley! Jangle-a-luja!

Wow. Only today I put on the 3LP live album from the Super Duper Luxurious Deluxe Box Set that is YHF 20 Years anniversary.. And that really is something to treasure. Love the energy of that show! The only album tour they did in Norway/Scandinavia since Summerteeth that I didn’t see them of...

@wokeupnew The Lemon Twigs are perhaps a bit too 70's style for my liking, but great that you front them here! Keep those recommendations coming, all!

Yeah, agree that the more recent albums are more polished. But, I kind of love that sort of guitar pop too, so I don't mind. I think maybe Fake Ideas is my favorite, with Don't Look Back very close or equal :-)

Hurry from Philadelphia is a band I've listened to a lot the last year. Great mid-tempo guitar pop/power pop. Their most recent release Don't Look Back (title homage to Teenage Fanclub of course) is one of this year's best in my book. Think Fountains of Wayne, Weezer, Lemonheads and Oasis in...

It's such a great set of albums they did. I can't think of any good reasons why they're not reissues, other than rights-related issues. Now, the hunt continues for When Your Heartstrings Break...

Hey, man, I'll look into it but he did only want pick-ups at his apartment, so might be a long shot.

Completely agree, @Matt M! I’ll try and post some stuff about once a week or so. Perhaps more often if life permits… Anyway: just picked up this one from a guy that’s selling his collection. Lots of sweet Elephant Six stuff. I opted for quality over quantity and forked out for a holy grail...

My take on the new album: I love it! I’m not the most analytical listener, I think. I tend to go by emotion and in this case fandom. So, I basically like everything that Wilco have done in the last three decades or so. Some have mentioned a nod back to the sonic experiments of A Ghost Is Born...

Totally agree on OTJ. Listen to that a lot. And I think Cousin is exactly what you ask for… That’s six songs in first listen.
