Vinyl Me Please Anthology

Why did they have to do it?!?! 🥺🥺😭😭

Why did Vinyl Me, Please have to close down the VMP forum??? It was so special and joyful and unique and real. And they didn’t even tell us that they were thinking of shutting down the forum! Did they not see how cute, adorable, fun, loving and passionate the VMP forum was??? 😳🤔

That decision was very military/army/defence force orientated. That’s how I will always see it.

Like you know when people regret not going to their best friend’s wedding overseas because of work commitments. And then they regret it because the best friend and them will always remember how they did not turn up to the wedding. That’s how I feel about VMP. I really like them still and am loving a lot of their presses and customer service overall. But I will always remember that heartless decision they made of cutting down the VMP forum.
Yeah my friend got married in Portugal last friday and I didnt go. Seeing all the photos and reading this post made me realise I'm a dick. Thanks Nathan 👍🏼

Nah I'm joking I'm content with not going. I couldn't go and I hate weddings anyway 🤣🤣🤣

You hate weddings? How have you survived living in this country for so long!

Ah man I'm sick to death of them. It's literally the same day over and over again just different participants 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

At least you get different participants. I just seem to keep meeting the same fucking crew that I only see at weddings with a rotating crew of bride and groom...

I do kinda enjoy the family ones though, getting drunk with my uncles and cousins haha!

I should of explained it better. Different participants getting married lol. Same crew attendance. The family ones are way cooler I agree

Most of my wife's friends' weddings have been dry. Evangelical Christian types. First kisses at the alter, etc.

Thankfully my wife was/is not like that, but those weddings were torturous.

Yeah Irish weddings are notoriously not like that. The reception for a Saturday typically ends some time on sunday night. They destroy you for at least a week afterwards!

Those are my types of weddings. I still hear stories of "The drunkest I've ever been was at [my] wedding. It was a blast!" and it makes me so damn happy.

That said you appreciate an Irish wedding after being at an English one. Only about 50 people and everything ends with last orders at 11. Fucking weird. No hotel bar through the night until you pick up the Sunday session the next afternoon...

I once shared a hotel just outside Dublin with a wedding. It was my last night before returning to the States so I wanted to spend my remaining euros in the hotel bar. I didn't succeed, because random wedding-goers kept buying me drinks. The party was still going strong when I went to bed, and when the fire alarm went off around 4 am most of them still seemed to be in their wedding clothes.

Most of the ones I’ve been at the music would have just about ended then and they’d only just be starting in the hotel bar...

We take drinking at weddings very seriously over here! It’s

One of my buddies got married to an Irish lass a couple years back and they had their wedding at the Parknasilla Resort in Ireland. My friends and I flew over for it... they rented the majority of the hotel and flew the band in from France. It lasted 3 days and it was, to say the least... insane.

This is the resort.

On the flip side I DJ'd my own wedding, because budgets.

Oh wow! Right down in the arse end of nowhere in Kerry! What a stunning place to get so drunk that you can’t remember who you are anymore!

Christ. I wont complain about another irish wedding again. That sounds awful

Talking about the UK @Joe Mac Sundays are strange over there . First experience was 2005 went to see Oasis In City Of Manchester Stadium on the Sunday, concert finished up around 10pm and there wasnt a drink to be got anywhere after the gig. I couldn't believe it 😮

The reaction of the local guests, my brothers friends and his wife’s family at his wedding was hilarious. It was basically 250 of us, half Irish and half Scottish, and only about 50 of them and it was madness, like an Irish wedding transplanted into England, they all thought it was nuts!

Ouch! To be fair Manchester is big and vibrant enough that had you known the city and gone to the right place you’d have found a pub/club open all night. But yeah normal pubs were 10/10.30 back then. I was still living in Manchester back then, I was at the Saturday gig that weekend!
