New Music Friday!

Just finished my 5th listen. It's definitely a Top10 album of year right now. Potential for Top5.

After spending the past 24 hours listening to nothing but it I’m extremely comfortable calling it my AOTY so far. First album I’ve listened to this year that legitimately excites me and I still feel like I haven’t unlocked all of its secrets yet

Damn 🔥 You went into it expecting to turn it off after 5 seconds, and now, 24 hours later, Pirouette is your current AOTY. That's some open-mindedness right there. Pirouette Summer!

Pirouette is a Top5 album for me, currently, after about 10 full listens through. I, too, need to dive deeper into it still, especially more on the lyrics.

You and @Fleetwood-Matt got me excited enough to pull this one up for a listen. I made it through a few songs before turning on something else. Not my bag but I think it’s fun that industrial pop music is becoming a thing, between this, and Lady Gaga’s and Miley Cyrus new albums, who knew Trent Reznor and Al Jourgensen would become pop icons.

The fact that we got you excited enough to give the album a chance is enough for me. Now, I wouldn't say that I agree with the "pop" tag for Model/Actriz, but I would surely agree that there are some Trent Reznor/NIN influences in their music ✌️

Happy New Music TUESDAY!

New albums today from Men I Trust and from Lou-Adriane Cassidy (both of whom have already released an album earlier this year).

The new album, Equus Caballus, from MIT is more upbeat-sounding than their previous, Equus Asinus. Its 42-minute runtime across its 13 tracks was enjoyable from start to finish. I'm not sure which of the two Equus albums I prefer at this point. Just happy I enjoyed them both. I'll let those who are more well-versed with MIT share their thoughts.

The new L-AC album, Triste Animal, is a shorter project compared to Journal d'un Loup-Garou from January. This new one is only 26 minutes and 8 tracks. And, unlike the new MIT, this new L-AC is less upbeat than its predecessor. It sounds like what its title is - a Sad Animal. It's still beautiful nonetheless, and Cassidy's vocals are still very nice. However, I do prefer her release from earlier this year to this one.

I prefer this Men I Trust much more than the previous companion album. Both different flavors though, and I'll take 2 albums over 1 any day.
I think if they combined the best of both they could have ended up with one really good album. However, there’s not really any songs I wish didn’t exist on either so I’ll also take two separate albums.
