Never mind. You dive for resources.

Increase your friendship level with Esquie at camp to 6 by talking to him.oh, I don't have that yet.
thanks, I actually just got it now.Increase your friendship level with Esquie at camp to 6 by talking to him.
I just did this a bit earlier myself... and what comes directly after as well.

then found the climbing beach...ugh. that made me almost want to give up, but finally got it done
What comes after it? I didn't try a second round if there was one because I want to level up more, I just barely got through the first round battle and it was only because I was able to parry everything and not take a hit for the most part.
I figured it was more rounds based off the dialog. Round 1 was plenty hard at level 59 to get past. I went up 2 levels by doing so. I'll circle back when I'm like 10 levels higher and my weapons are higher than level 21. Got a nice boost by 9 levels with the weapon reward for round one for Lune.there are 3 Gestral flights, increasing in difficulty. stay beating them they say they're going to offer a reward, then Golgra shows up. the Gestrals ask you to fight Golgra, which is basically the last flight of the challenge. if I remember correctly the final reward is a hairstyle for Maelle

Thanks. I'll have to swing back that way. I tried it at level 50 and was like nope. Need to level up before I return. Do you think Level 61 is sufficient enough to give it a second go?I updated my previous post with a leveling tip I randomly found in a video that's pretty helpful
possibly...I honestly don't remember, but I didn't have to fight any of them more than once. I was probably more mid to high 60s when I did that, but as with any fight if you can manage the patterns you can win via counters (that's my main big-damage driver when in battles... less so on my attacks and skills)Thanks. also really depends on your builds as well I suppose...I have them all getting back health on parries (as well as other ways), so not only am I doing big damage when parrying but I'm also getting health back every time I do a successful parry
I'm pretty sure every attack has some kind of counter. most get parried via the parry button, when the screen turns black and white use the Gradient counter, and the yellow hash mark type symbol means to jump.My characters all earn AP, whether it's on parry or taking damage. So I tend to use a lot of very powerful attack moves. But that doesn't work when you rarely get a turn and all you can do is doge, parry or counter and are lucky when you get a turn to attack.
Can every type of attack be countered / parried? For example, the ones where they swing at you 3 ore more times? I have never successfully parried one of those, I get hit every time I try?
Blight and curse is also a bitch. I looked, I don't have any build options to counter those. Only Charm, lol. Looking through my build option, I only have one regenerate health on parry I can use for build. So only one character could have it.
Then I have some good news for you. There is actually a lot more to this game than you are expecting.I'm in Old Lumiere now and while I'm still declaring this top 5 of my all time favourite games, I'm getting profoundly sad because I'm realizing at a certain point in the near future it's going to be over.

I tend to try to parry just as they are starting their actual strike more than when that strike is going to hit me, so a bit earlier than I initially thought. there's usually a cue (audio and/or visual) but sometimes, at least for me, I just get a feel for it.
using the Dodge is a good helpful tool, if you get a PERFECT then you know that timing would work for a parry
I'm not 100% sure which boss you're fighting... is it one of the Chromatic bosses? there are some things that I still haven't figured out what (if there is) the counter/dodge is, like then that Burgeron thing eats a party member... if there's a way to avoid that I haven't figured it out. but as far as that specific attack, I don't remember how/when to counterI am good at getting PERFECT on a dodge in about 70% of these swings, But I always get hit if I try to parry and then am unable to parry or dodge the rest of the sequence after taking a hit.
I think I noticed that with some of these attacks, you need other successfully parry every part of the attack to trigger a counter.
Is there a way to dodge or parry "blight wave" that applies 3 blights at once? This enemy is absolutely killing me. Forget it's name, but each hit is a blight, and then it does a blight wave that applies 3 more blights and I haven't figured out how to avoid that.
Yeah, it was one of the Chromatic bosses on a sky island. The blight wave applies 3 blights to all characters and happens multiple times. The only way I found around quick deaths is either building a character to use AP if possible to clear status effects, or have a built that clears status effects when using a heal tint. There is also the gradient attack Lune has that can clear status effects. But it's a losing battle. A single turn can get you to 10 blights if you mess up dodging or parring. You get 3 from the blight wave which I haven't found a way to avoid, and then each hit is a blight.I'm not 100% sure which boss you're fighting... is it one of the Chromatic bosses? there are some things that I still haven't figured out what (if there is) the counter/dodge is, like then that Burgeron thing eats a party member... if there's a way to avoid that I haven't figured it out. but as far as that specific attack, I don't remember how/when to counter
I do remember the blight thing being very frustrating, is that where it starts reducing your total health each time it's used? I know I have an Anti-Blight Picto but I think you get it from beating the fight you're on which obviously isn't helpful for that particular fight
