Everything after their reunion (Manifesto, Flesh & Blood, Avalon) sounds really good if you find original pressings (UK or Japanese - especially the Japanese for Avalon - Japanese Avalon is a audiophile quality). Everything before could definitely be refreshed. It was very welcome for the first album anyway.
If you do end up going down that Steven Wilson rabbit hole his remix of In The Court Of Crimson King is fantastic.

Steven Wilson did an interesting compilation last year called Intrigue. It is early 80s proggy new wave and post punk
Strangely, it isn't streaming (at least not on Apple Music) but someone created a playlist that captures about 95% of the tracks

Yeah...I saw I made a previous comment that the 3 LP + 7" for $60 wasn't a bad price.
But $40 for just the 3 LP's is even better...and made the purchase a little more justifiable.
Steven Wilson also did some XTC re-mixes.
Not sure if XTC was mentioned, as it's not searchable
The reason he hasn't done English Settlement yet is because they haven't found the multi-track tapes.

Probably my favorite he's done.
I've got a few of his XTC and King Crimson 5.1 mixes on bluray, but I don't listen to those as often as I should.
One can find a lot of his remixes at Burning Shed
You can't throw a stick and not hit a release he hasn't remixed.

Yeah - his 5.1 mix of The Dukes stuff is great.

I grabbed the vinyl boxset during the DD blowout this summer. I think I got it for $60 when they were putting them cheaper on Walmart.

I’m assuming he doesn’t do AAA remixes? And does his stuff digitally even for vinyl? Not that it matters but just curious about his process

Pretty sure he transfers the multitracks to 16bit digital and works from there. But the results can be amazing. I stream his Yes remixes often and have been tempted by that boxset he did for Yes a few times!

Correct. Typically his stuff is cd/bluray. Don't think I have ever seen him do AAA. Even if he did go back to the master tapes he would digitize them to work on them.
I am staring pretty hard at his Hawkwind / Warrior on the Edge of Time vinyl remix on Amz right now. Anyone get that?

He’s not a cutting engineer. Like the Intrigue box we were talking about is cut by Barry Grint and Cicely Balston.

I was considering picking it up but from what I've read it is, at the very least a grey market pressing, as the originals go for like $2k and the dude behind the album is religious now (plus his son was killed by a drone strike after becoming radicalized and join Al-Quida). so I don't think an official reissue will ever happen unfortunately.
Does anyone has insight into the fidelity? I know unofficial release can vary wildly in quality from decent to absolute garbage and I would prefer to avoid the latter if possible.
