I’m out of money, so here’s what I’m suggesting. Let’s delete this thread until January. Sounds good? Cool!

That's fine. We don't want you either. I suppose it does suck having a wealth of excellent shows seven days a week in all genres, plenty of fresh water and of course, no earthquakes, hurricanes or DeSantis/Trump.

Back on track - looks like Blue Note's 30% sale is back on today for all vinyl if any of you have any money left.
I actually loved living in Iowa and Colorado more than living in Georgia. But there's shitty places all over this country. Good and bad to be found. Lots of worse places to live than where I've been. The part of Michigan I'm from didn't do much for me. Detroit was awesome when I was a kid, then got really shitty for decades and now it's cool again. Portland was great when I lived there but most my friends who are still there don't love it as much anymore. Tennessee had a lot that sucked, but Knoxville has gotten pretty cool too despite the state sucking hard.

One day I am going to make it to Big Ears!

And agreed with the above, since 1/2 of Michigan seems to live in my town or the 'burbs. Hah. However, to dismiss an entire part of the country to make oneself feel good about living in the Country's "wang" is rather childish and myopic.

I am originally from Central IL and while I harbor no Ill will and applaud your vigorous defense of the Midwest there are plenty of tornadoes and Trump supporters in my former neck of the woods.

Personally, I would rather be chilling on South Beach in January than bundled in a parka getting the bottoms of my pants covered in icicles while scraping the frost off my car windows.

Does this actually drop by 30% in your cart? I see it's reduced by $20 but not by 30%. Is there a code?

100%, Florida is a terrible shithole, but there are mitigating factors. Like, middle america has just as many fascists, but also way more winter.

Man I miss living close to Chicago. Back in college it was a quick two-hour drive. Thursday nights at the Metro!

In Iowa’s defense, Sean Moeller is doing some great work on the east side of the state in the QC. He started Daytrotter, and now he’s got a couple venues and brings in some great acts. But central Iowa is rough for shows.

Davenport, so even closer. Shoot over 74 and up.

I've only spent about an hour in downtown Davenport while on a ridiculous time crunch drive from Indianapolis to Salt Lake City ten years ago. I liked the riverfront a lot, and whatever coffee shop we had stopped at seemed fine enough. The riverfront was the highlight though.
