Online Vinyl Deals

My bad then. Maybe I wasn't paying attention to those Blue Note titles because I already own them. Nice hauls!
I have several but they pump the releases out so fast I can't keep up. Plus I was slow to get in during the start. I didn't really care for jazz. Ha now it's just silly. But a few sales have really been good. Oct gave me 3 TPs for $18 total with the spin thing. Grabbed all repress items

I think each of my two orders had a December release in it, so no movement yet.... I got a $100 and a $50 coupon, so yeah, good stuff indeed. :)

it's not a matter of hustle; a lot of tours don't head down america's wang. kikagaku moyo and pavement haven't been down here at all AFAIK, phish has been....it's been a few years

Oh damn... that sucks. Seattle gets lucky, but tours randomly still skip us too, for similar reasons. It's out of the way. It's also the reason that the whole music scene was formed here, because there were no tours coming through.

logistically we're just a lot of trouble to go to; most big tours that hit here are usually the result of three things:
  1. they're coming to or from a south american leg,
  2. for some reason their euro leg gets them through here (rarer; usually euro legs go through atlanta or NY),
  3. for some reason south florida/miami has an emotional connection to the area (billy corgan/smashing pumpkins, perry farrell/janes&p4p, etc)

Makes sense. We get luckier than that these days, but it still has to make sense logistically, or we get skipped sometimes. Phish has left us hanging a lot in the past.

Malkmus living in Portland makes Pavement in Seattle a no brainer and Kikagaku Moyo's US distribution is in the area. Still, bands often choose to do California dates and bypass the Northwest altogether. I've even seen tours hit Portland and turnaround. If they feel like doing Portland, Seattle, and BC it can work, otherwise, it can be out of the way to travel through Oregon for a show or 2 when they can knock so many out in Cali alone.

If it makes you feel any better, at least you’re not in Iowa.

Oh dude yes
Every day I thank my stars I’m not in middle America
That's fine. We don't want you either. I suppose it does suck having a wealth of excellent shows seven days a week in all genres, plenty of fresh water and of course, no earthquakes, hurricanes or DeSantis/Trump.

Back on track - looks like Blue Note's 30% sale is back on today for all vinyl if any of you have any money left.
