Record Store Day 2023

Probably overpriced, like all things RSD, but I like it. The quality isn’t fantastic - sounds like a cassette you bought at a bar show for your friend’s band. Maybe a little better. And I mean that in the best way possible. This is Dü on the cusp of becoming something. I really enjoy the set for exactly that reason. It’s not going to be for everyone, but for a fan, as a time capsule at a couple specific Minneapolis venues it’s pretty great. Again, price might be a turn off. But if you find this when someone is clearing RSD stock at a discount it’s worth giving it a shot.

Also it should be streaming in August(?) I believe if you want to check it out then.
Thanks for the review. I found one for 30 and picked it up.

3 left. If still need one.

Anyone got eyes on any Grateful Dead Boston sets? The In Groove is giving me a full refund if I send mine back, so I'm back in the market for it.

EDIT: NVM Found it.

Added these to the list -

Josh Rouse - 1972, Nashville, Under Cold..
The Long Winters - When I Pretend.., Putting The Days..
Cotton Mather - Kontiki
Mike Viola - Lurch and Just Before Dark
Keene Brothers - Blues and Boogie Shoes
Tommy Keene - Ten Years After
Duckworth Lewis Method - s/t
Best Kissers In The World - Been There
Sleepy Jackson - Lovers
Beulah - Yoko, When Your Hearstrings Break, The Coast Is Never Clear
Daniel Norgren - Horrifying Deatheating Bloodspider
Paul Pena - s/t
Fountains Of Wayne - Sky Full Of Holes
Ted Leo - Hears of Oak, Shake the Sheets

I have to send some suggestions then but I'll be happy with these Josh Rouse reissues. The Field Mice is another band I always expect Coastal for a RSD release but it never happens.

We saw Rouse last year and he said 1972 should be getting a reissue this year. Hoping that happens!
I saw Josh Rouse open for Guster at The Bradley Student Union in 2000. He was fun. It’s what put him on the radar for me. I spent a good amount of time with 1972 and Nashville while in college would be good with own both those on wax.

I played Under Cold Blue Stars a lot of times. Miracle was on Portuguese radio in summer and I started following him once I came back from holidays. 1972, Feeling No Pain or Quiet Town are another songs I love

Those two are probably his best, but I can put any of them on and enjoy. He has a great vibe. His last was actually quite good.

Here's hoping if there is a Taylor Swift exclusive this time that my local creates a separate line/checkout for those shoppers only wanting only her item. That should reduce the wait for rest of us wanting Cure picture discs, an upteenth Big Star reissue, long forgotten classic rock faves, mono jazz albums, and albums wrestlers released in the 90s.

Don’t forgot about live albums

Or just wrestlers in general. John Cena's 2005 rap album is coming soon, book it. John Cena & Tha Trademarc - You Can't See Me
