Pre-Order Thread

I personally think anything over 30 minutes is easily an album. Especially now that we are in a vinyl being the primary physical format era again.
30 is definitely really short but I can definitely consider that an album. Something that is only 22 minutes long is definitely an ep not an album regardless of how many tracks it has. In my opinion the ideal length for an album is around 40 minutes or longer.

I’ll also gladly accept a short concise and brilliant album over a long bloated full of lesser material album. Lest we all forget how pop music pretty much operated during the 90s.
I blame cds for this. Bloated albums, and the ubiquitous hidden bonus track after 15min of silence that was just the band making armpit fart sounds for another 3 minutes.

According to Rolling Stone. It is some covers, a co write and some he even wrote in his best (terrible) Elvis impression.

Within reason. I do love myself a good old school double album!

80 minute 90s albums with bloated songs and/or track lists just because CDs could hold that was, on the other hand, not fun!

Edit: Although my most hated CD era thing was reissues with the bonus tracks ON THE SAME FUCKING DISC AS THE FUCKING MAIN ALBUM! BASTARDS!

Dang, this thread moves fast. Didn't see this listed anywhere...apologies if it's redundant. It looks as though Irreversible Entanglements signed to Impulse, new album Protect Your Light out 9/7.
