I've been looking at those records with the ugly stripe across the top that ruins the look of the sleeve (Mofi 
) and can just about justify the price of this one to myself.
Are there any other Mofi releases worth looking at in that price range ~£50?
Is the Duke Ellington a good pressing?

You can’t really go wrong with any OG version of Scary Monsters. One of the better recorded Bowie albums.
Yeah that's basically what I read. It was like UK best, US second, JP third or something along those lines but yes it really is a jump up in recording quality vs his earlier stuff.

I had an original german press of Scary Monster and that sounded really great too. Felt the version in the box set was similar, maybe a little inferior, but not drastically, but was quieter. Ended up selling it last summer.

Here is an interesting video about a Chinese record collector who spews really good knowledge on the purest sound of music. He has perhaps the rarest record collection in the world apparently.
Does anyone have any ideas on how the quality of this will be? Does Get On Down do good work? Feels like this will be the definitive version of executed well.

Get On Down is fine but nothing special. I have a handful of hip hop albums through them that are serviceable but definitely not audiophile level. Okay yeah so this sounds great, the interwebs did not lie.
Also I ripped that shrink off and it was delightful.

Found sealed copies this month (local/eBay), looking forward to comparing them both. I'm hoping I'm happy with the half speed since the Classic has a constant click on the title track, dammit.
