nice....when is this dropping? I haven't been able to get to my recent Planets reissue Im hoping its not warped like just about every BBE record that has come out in the last few years

there seems to be a bunch of really rare J-Jazz (albeit many titles not my thing) that are being released through some Italian and Canadian labels I've never heard of...anyone buying here? there were a couple I was interested in (rock joint either, and the sadayasu fuji record)

We are busy bodies label are digital cuts and not particularly impressive from what I’ve heard. Not sure which Italian label you are referring to though

I have Cinedelic’s “African Rock” (Akira Ishikawa & His Count Buffalos). It’s excellent. I really like it. I also have Cinedelic’s “Rock Joint Cither” and “Rock Jt Biwa” (Hiromasa Suzuki). I prefer Biwa musically, and both sound great. I don’t know sourcing or care all that much. Sound and package quality have been high enough for me for overall price.
Edit — I also have their Trees Speak release. Also excellent but not J-Jazz.

Don't have any of these but saw them many times. Much more affordable than these Japanese reissues or even BBE's. I may grab the last Akira Ishikawa they did last year.

Seems like there may be yet another new J-Jazz series, the “Wa-Jazz Original Masterworks Collection, supervised by Kouki Hanawa, who now owns Judgment! Records but has worked with/for Disk Union and Craftman and is also a “supervisor” on Sony’s “Jazz Analog Legendary Collection.” I’m not sure there’s a record store in the world that I’d like to visit more than Judgement! Records.
I’m sure some of you know much more about him and this subject than I do, so I’m just reporting what my understanding is based on this new HMV listing and some background looking on Discogs, the Judgement! site, etc.

The google translation of that HMV listing makes it seem like the chain at least starts w/ original tapes and they have the original artwork.

looks like a couple other Express nuggets coming out that same day...was wondering when they were going to get there with Express - these came out on CD about 10 years ago before J-Jazz started to go nuts....
Not a lot of information about these releases but the people behind it are not exactly beginners. Excited to see what will come next.

it me! I did finally find a copy on discogs for about the median price and located in the US so I picked it up. It's so good.

project re:vinyl did Sammy and Count buffalo in the first run - depends if you like Sammy or not, Masahiko Sato Palladium is kind of a classic, minus the free jazz leanings (IMO) - I'm not a fan of most of his stuff, and there's a bunch of Sato released on Express, there's a Hideo Shiraki compilation that's affordable considering his early albums are not...Deep Jazz Reality did a Toshiaki Yokota record a few years back..Yosuke Yamashita with brass 12 is another rarity, not my jam...Kazumi Watanabe Infinite is some cool fusion finding the first press with the different cover is super rare....FYI most original pressings are red vinyl...
