The good news: today isn’t McCartney
The bad news: it’s Steve Miller Band (Children of the Future and Brave New World for $8) and I mean I guess that’s a thing but whatever.

Children Of the Future actually slaps. It's more psych and before the 70s commercial radio sound

Both of these records have more in common with Canned Heat and Jefferson Airplane than anything else I can think of.

I like Dusty Groove - they've been real good to me.

I really like Dusty Groove (even though they cancelled some preorders on me recently) and Forced Exposure is another great shop for jazz + imports in the US.

Dusty Grooves was my go-to when I collected funk 45's back in the 90's and early 2000's. They were always great. Been more than 10 years since I've ordered from them though.

I remember we used to make fun of them for their album descriptions... the hyperbole making every single record amazing always made me chuckle. Doesn't take anything away though. If you're looking for funk, soul and jazz, they were the place at the time. They were good with grading for used stuff too - are they still ok for that?

My experience with used records from them is limited to under half a dozen so far, but they've been pretty spot on, if not a bit conservative.

The Riding Easy Records Brown Acid LP series is a blast. Here's a nice flash sale for $169 if you've considered dosing yourself...

Well I didn't need to see this today...

I bought Brave New World. I don’t own any Steve Miller albums and am only familiar with his greatest hits. It seems like that album is one of his most well regarded and for less than $9 shipped, why not?

10% off if you sign up for the 'first time customer' newsletter brings it down to ~150. 15 per LP isn't bad for that set.

Merry Christmas to me - this looks like a great series

I've streamed 4 of these straight this morning. Maybe one song so far I wasn't feeling.

So many hidden gems on these. So much fuzzed out, lo-fi, groove.

Thanks again for posting this.
