So true, tube amps are universal.Honestly none of my friends are particularly into collecting music so they’re lost at the whole concept of a hifi system rather than a sonos speaker or even an iPhone speaker dock or Bluetooth piece of crap so I tend not to even get that far

As much as I dig this, I am thinking the whole "wood and epoxy" look will be one of those things in the future we all look back on and say "oh yeah that was clearly made in the late 20 teens".

I think they’re very fun. I use mine for movie watching at night a lot. Not neutral at all, but enjoyable and really nicely built.

I think the 99 noir are a mass drop exclusive. The standard 99 are nearer $300 from my recollection.
