The Beatles

The 2014 were the original master tapes too. It wasn’t remixed it was remastered. The blurb in the pamphlet pointed the improvements to better technology and being able to master with a little more bass becuase modern tables were much less likely to skip with it.
So the description from UDiscover has the singles listed as "Original Mono Mix, remastered" and the full album as "Original Mono Master". So again, I'm wondering whether they didn't just do a direct transfer from whatever source for the full Mono album, and called it a day. No remastering.

I don’t think that would work. The master tape is just the final mix. It isn’t mastered for any given format. If you sent that straight to a lathe or CD or streaming file it’d sound shocking, the levels would be all wrong and certain songs could be at different levels depending on how they were recorded and mixed.

LET'S HOPE THEY KNOW MORE THAN I DO, FOR ALL OF OUR SAKE

If you are looking to pair it with another one…
As much as I’d love to have a Japanese copy, I currently have the release with the Esher Demos, the mono and the MoFi. Someone should grab it though!

Idk, if I’m looking to buy this set, it’s primarily for the book and ephemera, not the bonus material. I’ll listen to the bonus material probably once, so why do I need LPs? I’d rather pay $120 (less on PopMarket) for cd’s than $170 for the records.
This is about where I’m at for this set as well… I got the deluxe White Album (for the Esher demos) and Let It Be (for the Get Back version) on vinyl, but not Sgt Pepper or Abbey Road.

While I wouldn't place myself in the "Fanatic" category of Beatles "collectors", these deluxe box set re-issues is where I know the collector in me takes a little lead over everything else, like 60/40. These are getting a little steep, but the pacing is more than acceptable, and I'm not buying quite the amount I used to, so I'm ok with it. But to the point some have made, do I really need another copy of Revolver?

YES! ;)

In moments of weakness, I parted with my red Japanese mono and white UK stereo of the White Album, so I'm now down to a paltry seven different versions after acquiring the 1988 CD box set the other day...

Well, If you are looking to add a Uruguayan version of Los Beatles White Album you can swing by Hi-Voltage…

@Mather @Sonicpharmacist and whoever else may care...

The mono Revolver from the upcoming super deluxe set is confirmed to be AAA. Sean magee used the original mono tape and cut it with his notes from when he did the 2014 mono cut. Has an updated console + lathe since the last pressing.
Oh FFS this thing better go HEAVILY on sale at some point.
