Restocks/Represses

I mean the digital sounds compressed. It seemed okay (as a project), but it might be the worst sounding album I have heard in a long time. The levels are whacky.
I feel like this is a common issue with Danger Mouse production as a whole. His production can be fun and interesting but I feel like the mixing/mastering rarely sounds as good as I feel like it should.

I think that’s right. I feel like his work with Black Keys got close (on Turn Blue, specifically) or the stuff from “Man in the High Castle” but maybe not as much as I thought. I’ll have to track through the digital and see if I have some of the same complaints.

Yeah, I was attempting to bump to Cheat Codes in my car the other day while running errands and I thought something was wrong with my stereo, the low end was non-existent until like the third track.

Looks like the first Swell Season album is getting a colored pressing. Here's the BV link, it's also up on Amazon:

Wasn't this scarce for a minute? Here's a repress:

Is this a good press? Debating if I should get it over the vmp one but of course I don’t know if the vmp one sounds good or not.

VMP shouldn't sound worse since it is 49 minutes spread over 4 sides. Never heard the single lp pressings. Matador has been using GZ that last few years for all vinyl (which VMP is using for this reissue as well) and the recent Yo La Tengo reissue is not getting good reviews.

This probably uses the same plates as the one I have... it's "ok" at best, but serviceable. I'm probably going to dip into VMP for a month to upgrade my copy.

Looks like 5 War albums have been reissued: Music Direct

This place is offering a 20% price-break for ordering all 5: (I know nothing about this shop, just saw the offer)

They're an alright shop. I've ordered a few things from them and had no problems.

What's the deal on these reissues? Any good? I have all of these as original pressings but I could use cleaner copies of a few.

It was suggested on another site that these are breakouts from a RSD 2021 box set:

I don't know if that's actually the case.
