I’m using the Funk Firm APM-1200. A bit pricey but very nice.

Technics stock mats are 3mm. They used to make a 6mm option, but don’t anymore. I’d go 4-5 mm.

I'm using a Funk Firm Acromat on top of the stock rubber mat with good results.. have a Herbies Mat as well that I haven't yet tried on the 1210. I used it on my prior PLX1000 but preferred the Acromat/stock stack better. Good luck in your quest.

i probably have to settle with the 3mm Achromat for now since it seems the only option from within the EU at the moment.
might use it on top of the stock mat then too.

If you fancy an APM at any stage give me a shout. I can have one delivered home and pick it up and send it from Ireland. The only catch is the waiting period till the next time I go back and they’re totally not cheap lol!

I’ve got the oyaide which is bizarre but works really well. Think they’re much cheapo on eBay etc

That said I’m beyond impressed with the GR. Either that or the G could (and likely will be) my last turntable.

I think I’d use black for both because the bottom half and feet of the 1200 is unfortunately black too.

I kind of agree with @Joe Mac , and to keep it simple, rather than ordering both versions. Most feet on the decks are black stock as well.
