Vinyl Me Please Essentials

Yeah, I'm not really sure why you'd get Barry Grint of all people to re-do a definitive Chris Bellman mastering. I'm sure Bruce's "woos" will be loud AF though, like Ric Flair is in your living room.
Yeah, I love this album but multiple remasters for a lo-fi 4 Track home recording within a half decade is a bit excessive.

Speaking of Springsteen...Did the Vol. 1 Box Set go OOP? I used to have it, but gifted it to my dad thinking I could easily get another one, but now it's gotten kind of pricy and hard to find in Canada.

Springsteen seems very likely in October as a 40th anniversary. Could also coincide with a Nebraska/Born in the USA box set that has been rumoured in the Springsteen-community for quite some time. Not that I need another Nebraska-release, but a solid pick.

TBF Grint is a talented engineer, his loud cuts would suit this album well as it will help to get the noisefloor lower. But that will be negated once GZ gets their chance to rush some non-fill frisbees through production. Oh and since it’s a UK mastering studio I think we can safely assume they’ve not been given the tapes, so likely cut from the same source as the box set stuff. As others have said it’s a lofi album by design. So yeah, total yawn fest but sure it’s the boomer bait they need to hit their new subscription targets for the year.
