Tribe landed today which is also the day my year and a half year old discovered the volume switch, I think she likes it seeing as she keeps turning it UP!! Only played the first side and so far, no complaints!
GZ are so freaking incompetent. Get a replacement, mine has none of that on A.I've got the GZ crackle on the lead in to Side A of LET.
Anything good in swaps this month?
I may do all 4 tracks straight up but wondering if there's anything surprising.
Swap previews are up. Tenacious D, Spirit In The Dark by Aretha Franklin, Meo Suo by Sigur Ros, Vertigo soundtrack, Sable from Japanese Breakfast, Made The Harbor, and Truth Is On Its Way seem to all be new.
Only if they can guarantee a non-shit copy. I swear that's the bar that I compare all GZ issues to.Mama's Gun is also in swaps, in case anyone missed out on that.
Lee Morgan's Take 12 is also in swaps again. Not sure how long that one will last.Mama's Gun is also in swaps, in case anyone missed out on that.
That one is worth grabbingLee Morgan's Take 12 is also in swaps again. Not sure how long that one will last.
I got a copy and a replacement last month and Side 2 Disk 1 skips like a mother.Mama's Gun is also in swaps, in case anyone missed out on that.
Seems like a missed opportunity nowI’m thinking The Knife- Silent Shout would make a better contender for the electronic album. 15th anniversary and could use a reissue
Ha! That’s an old comment. The reissue from last year (I think that’s when it was?) was great and sounds awesome!Seems like a missed opportunity now
Interesting. I'm considering upgrading, but not sure it's worth it. My other one sounds real good.Justice could be an interesting one. VMP just released the details and it looks like a new pressing

The 15th-anniversary edition of Justice’s 2007 debut album, '†,' is the VMP Essentials Record of the Month for June 2022. It's here on exclusive 2LP Gold Nugget vinyl, with lacquers cut at 45 RPM by Graeme Durham at The Exchange.www.vinylmeplease.com
45 RPM (the normal pressing is 33 RPM) with the only track list differential is D.A.N.C.E. is moved to Side A of DIsc One. The 33 RPM is pretty huge sounding as is, so while I'd think generally a 45 RPM is going to play out better all other things being equal, it's a tough bar to meet. I'll be keeping an eye on reviews for sure.
Mine sounds good enough for me. But for those that don't have this album, it's great album in the genre.Interesting. I'm considering upgrading, but not sure it's worth it. My other one sounds real good.
They did Veckatimest as a 45rpm and did not improve it at all.Interesting. I'm considering upgrading, but not sure it's worth it. My other one sounds real good.
They also did David Gray's White Ladder at 45RPM and it is amazing. I'm no VMP apologist (and no longer a member) but sometimes they get it right. They did Veckatimest as a 45rpm and did not improve it at all.
Definitely disagree with this take. Veckatimest is a clear improvement over the standard. They did Veckatimest as a 45rpm and did not improve it at all.
