I am assuming some reissues are coming tomorrow.

Probably a good thing. Are the recent ish reissues OOP? I can’t believe how much the box set is going for: Bright Eyes - The Studio Albums 2000-2011

Bought a set for about $100 two years ago I think. Very good sounding pressings so hopefully similar quality if that’s what’s happening.

Edit: yes they’re OOP and crazy expensive.

Has to be surreal to be:
  • one of the best guitar players of all time
  • a founding member of the Heartbreakers and inductee in the Rock & Roll HOF
  • a collaborator of Stevie Nicks, Warren Zevon, George Harrison, John Prine, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, The Wallflowers, Jackson Browne, Neil Diamond...
  • a touring member of Fleetwood Mac
  • frontman of The Dirty Knobs

Indeed…his late 2020 release Wreckless Abandon was cut to vinyl by Cris Bellman. Looking forward to the new one but no pressing info available yet.

I just listened to a couple of singles. It's fun, but when he really lets loose on the guitar I can't help but think "oh man this sounds *so close* to the Heartbreakers." I always think it's interesting when somebody tries to build a second/third/fourth career that will inevitably be compared to their first one, and will inevitably suffer for that comparison. He must really love playing.

I never really get tired of great R&R axe work. For me that is where my musical listening journey really began in earnest. And, nobody can accuse Campbell of stealing the licks.

they are sadly incredibly high-priced now. Greatest hits is over $300.

Oh wow. I got greatest hits and the stranger when that one random guy sold them dirt cheap on discogs. Was it Timmy? or something like that. Not as big in the forum law as beatles box set but it's in there.

Yea--I think that was from days of the old forum even...I grabbed a ton of MoFi stuff from that guy as well. RIP those deals...I miss the days of cheap MoFis. I got Sketches of Spain and In A Silent Way for $20 each on amazon...
