Record Store Day 2021

Anyone else's Cohen quite large? Like one jagged piece of ill-cut vinyl just slapping on the tone arm large? Had to shave mine down a bit. Otherwise it's fantastic.
How’s the sound? I’m debating picking one up. It’s actually pretty easy to come by and I’m sure will be around at list price for a long while.

Sounds great! Clean and quiet, no noise, pops or crackles. Overall happy with it. Only issue is the one I mentioned and that did cause a split in the inner sleeve but nothing I can't replace.

If anyone is looking for a seasonally appropriate sleeper, I highly recommend The Staple Singers release. All analog, KG cut, pressed at Memphis and it’s one of the best holiday albums of all time

I thought about this one earlier this morning, then decided to pick one up at Yellow Dog. Always looking to expand my Christmas music. Glad to hear it's a good one.

I think it’s not a KG cut unless the press blurb for it is wrong? It’s a Jeff Powell cut I believe

I take it no one saw the Bill Evans
It had to have been pushed back…I set an alert from Banquet to let me know when it’s in stock but no idea what’s going on with that one. Haven’t seen any announcements about a delay. Fingers crossed this means they are doing a wider release…

Weird the record store Day site blurb had KG’s name attached to it

Side A: 1. The Last Month Of The Year 2. The Virgin Mary Had One Son 3. Go Tell It On The Mountain 4. Joy To The World 5. Holy Unto The Lord 6. The Savior Is Born

Side B: 1. Sweet Little Jesus Boy 2. No Room At The Inn 3. There Was A Star 4. Oh Little Town Of Bethlehem 5. Wasn't That A Mighty Day 6. Silent Night

Maybe looking for Tammi Terrell…I may try to grab that and the staples singers now. My wife wants some more Christmas albums

Just ordered a copy of Tammi Terrell, didn't realise it was an Elemental release, very reasonably priced & I'm sure it will sound good.

Also ordered the Miles and the Oscar Peterson.

Has anyone listened to The Wrens, yet? Between a friend and I we bought 3 copies that all have serious pressing issues. Mine is Side 3. Constant noise throughout and skipping on the first song. That sucks, because I've Made Enough Friends is my absolute favorite Wrens song. He said that the last song on the album is unlistenable on his first copy, and his second copy has a miss-pressed label and a chunk missing on the edge of the record where a bubble popped or something. Also very jumpy needle on all 3 of our copies.

I'm asking, because I'm thinking about seeking out another copy, but (even though I've been waiting a decade for a repress of this) I don't know if it's worth another $30 to take the chance on more shitty quality control.

With mine, I noticed some crackling during part of side 3, but no skips or anything.

I was out in Doylestown, PA earlier to visit my daughter and her new puppy, and stopped at Siren Records after leaving her apartment. Picked up the Life Aquatic soundtrack since I finally looked at the tracklist and realized it's Bowie!

Well, it's two by Bowie, and a slew of Seu Jorge covers of Bowie. Still, it's great!
