What's Spinning

Nothing about these are "imported" from Japan.
oh sorry "distro'd" this is a Japanese release. tulip is a Japanese label. Enjoy the ride got the US share for distro. but yes I get it.

this version is still on tulip, a bunch of these are in Japan, looks like 500 were for US and 500 are In Japan

The label has nothing to do with it. This was only released in the US. To be imported from Japan it would also have to be released in Japan, and it wasn't.

There are plenty of foreign labels that release in the US, that doesn't mean the releases are imported.

This is a US release because it only exists as a US release.

no I know, imported was a bad choice of words

and yes the label does have something to do with it, as looking into ENJOY THE RIDE licensed it from them for US distrobution. It would make sense considered, enjoy the ride have $ and license from majors all the time. Those songs aren't cheap to license in the US.

EDIT And again IMPORTED was a bad word to use distro or more so licensing would have been a better term. my fault. and yes you are correct this is a US release. There was just confusion on my part especially considering how this record (not this pressing but the soundtrack in general) have been in mystery for years pre 2014 Aussie release, and even after.

you don't need to "explain" to me how parts of the record industry work. Trust me.
