Television

It can be a bit over the top sometimes, but we are enjoying it. The odd jazz references and Mc system are cool kind if like seeing the turntable on House or the system in As Good As It Gets..

Also like the character actors they use
We finished Bosch Season 7 last night, really enjoyed most of it. Apparently they are making a spinoff for Amazon about Bosch being a PD

because the producer says so lol :giggle:
lolololol at the thought that this show called Bosch about a character named Bosch might have a spinoff starring the same lead actor, still in his role as the main character named Bosch, and that the spinoff
might be called Bosch
and that I'm supposed to think of those as two different shows.

How about Honey Money ? :ROFLMAO: I'm interested to see how his daughters character evolves and of course if he keeps his house in the hills and vintage audio system. Would of been cool if he married the judge.

Umm, RIP MTV?

One of the last music shows MTV still had, the VMA's, is no longer even on MTV. This year the MTV VMA's will air on The CW.
I think it’s a cross platform type “Event”. It’ll will be on MTV, VH1, CMT, Nickelodeon, BET & (though not Live on the west coast like the others) The CW.

My Bears will be getting their ass handed to them by the Rams during the VMAs so I am gonna miss out. At 39 I am officially out of the VMA’s coveted 18 to 38 demo anyhow.

I am kinda curious though do kids even care about the VMAs? Like is it appointment viewing for your average Jr High/High School age kids?

I am aware of the existence of most of the artists featured in the 2021 VMAs but I am ignorant to the vast majority’s musical output. Do kids really enjoy Doja Cat or Machine Gun Kelly or Sean Mendes? Honoring the Foo Fighters seems like a weird choice too. It would be like the 1998 VMA‘s giving an award to Journey.

OMG, my Samsung TV has an issue.
I haven't even returned the effing Hisense yet.
The HDMI port keeps losing connectivity and bringing up an error screen that says the device (cable box) has no power. (it does) This just happened while I was watching the football game. Also, it's the fourth time it's happened in five days.
So. I should probably just not watch TV. Ever.

Field Destroy!

Yeah that sucks. Say what you will about an shitty standard def tube TV's but ya never had to worry about internet connectivity or HDMI ports. Hopefully you can get it replaced before Sunday.

Those new Amazon TV's look great for the price

Try a new cable?
Yeah, I'm going to troubleshoot more this weekend when I have time. Hopefully a new cable takes care of it. I do have a lifelong reputation for electronics crapping out on me. Some call me Voltran

Unrelated to TVs but definitely related to my weird 'field' - at work my check didn't have federal taxes taken out this week. HR was completely stumped - the software glitched on my check, nobody else, and they said this has never happened before. We're talking years and years of paychecks, then for no known reason - zap - a software glitch just for me.

I had a Samsung for years that had bad HDMI ports. The input signal would get disrupted and cause the screen to black out for a second here and there. Over time it got worse and worse until it was just unwatchable. Pain in the ass.

I guess I'm not surprised to read this. ^

I have read so many reviews for both Hisense and Samsung before purchasing. Most high to low ratios were about 10 to 1 or better for both brands. And yet, I always read the one star reviews, I guess to see what I'm in store for.
