Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Just went to my local record store and was surprised to find a used copy of the new Kevin Morby exclusive at the store. I didn’t check the quality or pick it up or anything, but if anyone missed out on it and wanted me to check it out or pick it up just let me know and I’ll go back!
With the amount of bad vinyl VMP produce I would not go anywhere near a used copy of anything they put out... there is about a 99% chance that something is horribly horribly wrong with it.
 
How do you get those, come on back and have a free record on us, emails? Do you have to quit for an entire month or just schedule a cancelation?
I cancelled mine a couple of weeks ago, so it wouldn't renew on June 1st. I still haven't received one of these emails yet.
Nor have I, my last box was May’s other than a few stragglers (now down to 2)

In the past I've gotten the email after having cancelled for several months, I think like the 3-6 month range.
 
I’m right there with both of you. I’d never requested a replacement before, but this was pretty obnoxious on that last track so I emailed them yesterday. You’re right, a replacement probably won’t do any good...

My local got a VMP Queen and sold it for ~$90. You know that thing was fucked up. Smh.
My local is pretty good at declining vinyl that has issues, all the beat up looking vinyl I have bought from them play fine
Two locals here in the Twin Cities regularly have VMP titles/pressings for sale. Neither admit subscribing and flipping, but it seems clear something is up.
Mine has had a decent amount, I asked them if they had a membership and they said no, regardless the only thing I saw them trying to sell at flipper's prices was the Little Simz 10"

I went ahead and sent them an e-mail as well....figure it's true that they should at least know about it. Not sure if they can do anything about it though apart from offering credit or a heart-felt apology.
 
Oh, so NOW PaulyB is including apologies in his replies. Probably after @TenderLovingKiller® called him out on not including an apology in previous responses for VMP's own failures and errors.
or could be the relationship I have with him, who knows, I was more concerned there isn't a time frame
TBH every time I've sent a bitter reply to their updates, or the time I wrote out a long email summing up my disappointment with the forum closing, Paul's replies have been sincere and considered. I've always walked away feeling better about the situation, even if the company's lost me.
 
Got a response back from VMP rather quickly regarding Stars' ... they say they aren't aware of it being a widespread issue and are asking me to send video or audio of the noise as proof before they send a replacement :rolleyes:

I only just sent my email in this morning so I haven't gotten a response yet. I mentioned that I understood that it had happened with others, but I did also offer to send them proof of it later tonight when I get home from work. 😬
