Pre-Order Thread

There was a slight bump in interest in MBV when the movie Lost In Translation came out, but that was yeaaarrrrs ago
I can admit that's when I got into them. Actually there's 3 things that got me into MBV and they all happened almost at the same time. First thing was Chino Moreno mentioning them as an influence when he Started Team Sleep. 2nd was reading about them in the Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums of All Time book. And 3rd was watching Lost in Translation.

I went out on a limb and found Loveless on cd at a Best Buy and it took me a few listens to understand what I was hearing. I read about them some more and I was suggested that I listen to them loud and on headphones. That's what hooked me.

When I got to college I immediately started going down the Shoegaze rabbit hole.

AARRGGHHH every time I see a post about the Mirah I always get excited then depressed because I keep thinking it's the Dream-Pop band Mira.

They were on Projekt Records who never do vinyl pressings until recently.

Mira did an amazing cover of "When You Sleep".

I had the blue ordered from bullmoose until I saw the red. I feel like the color matches the cover quote well.

Go figure. It is back up on VF site now.

Edit: And its gone again. But I just ordered a t-shirt bundle. If they both show up giving a copy to my son.
Godspeed. The two times Iā€™ve ordered a T-shirt bundle from bands Iā€™ve regretted it as they sent them together, shoving the shirt into a record mailer. Which of course damages the ffff out of the record.

I know šŸ¤•. Buttons, pins, and things are even worse. Buying records on line is not for the easily discouraged. On line sellers are getting a bit spoiled as they canā€™t keep up.

Juno doing pre-orders on anything seems to be a recent development, in the past they tended to have an ā€œemail me when this is in stockā€ button and otherwise only sold stuff they had on hand. Really quick shipping.
