Pre-Order Thread

really liked the early offspring albums but this band should've called it quits a long time ago.

Facts! I loved them, Weezer and Green Day as a teenager but I couldn't have less interest in hearing anything new from any of them now even though they're all still desperately trying to re-light that flame. It makes you really appreciate the few bands that can have that quality longevity though or at least disappear before it gets to this point.

This single is something else though.. It would have been pretty horrible as a deep lost demo in a box set way down the road but as a lead single for a new album? They really should have ended it before they even tried to become fly white guys.

Over/Under on the amount this album will make compared to how much the fine lady on the front cover is holding?

Figured as much
Yeah, the Dead have a lot of these. There's some radio broadcast exception to copyright law in Europe, so there are tons boots of radio shows available. This is one of the few I've seen on vinyl (most are CD). Should be noted that all of these shows are available for free in the same, and in most cases better, quality on the archive and on places like etree and lossless legs.

Never saw the appeal with the Offspring. Went to a show once where they were the headliners. Left the show after the Vandals played.
Looks like The Vandals also have a song called Let the Bad Times Roll as well
I was obsessed with The Offspring in high school. But it's pretty cringy how they still write songs like they're in their 20s. You'd think by this point they'd either mature or call it quits.
The mature or call it quits argument never made sense to me for rock music. For rap and hip hop, sure. But they’ve dug a niche and it’s not as if every song they make is juvenile in nature. If a band still has enough juice to keep going, especially after a 9 year hiatus, more power to em. I personally won’t pick up the physical but might give it a listen as they’re still good for the occasional somber deep cut.

The Offspring are basically a higher octave Foo Fighters at this point. Inoffensive old man rock for aging millennials.

Oh lord, can you hear me?

Also on Fat Possum with cheaper shipping. Language doesn't make it seem like the white is exclusive or too limited.

Damn, Milan sold out on their site already, too. I was already planning to go for the Mondo variant, but this makes things feel a bit more dire.

Locked in an Amazon pre-order just to be safe. That and Milan said they'd be upping the pressing/running a repress (source: Instagram comments) of the standard white variant if interest was high, which it very much seems like it is.
A second pressing of the Her original score is up for preorder at Milan:
Shipping is a little cheaper than Mondo, and F5 is not required.

I already have this album. I wish I didn't because I would love to have a remastered version, but the copy I have is fine. I do like t-shirt designs on their website too!

Very good news! Went for the white. Wonder if this will be 45 RPM like the original? Also, one of the rare cases where the Plain vinyl actually sounds pretty good! Looks like it’s oop though.
