The original press can be had cheap and it sounds fantastic. I have that and the 1980 MOFI press and the difference is negligible.

Any idea whether this Rhino reissue of The Nightfly, release date March 26, will use the Chris Bellman cut? Any opinions on those earlier versions by CB?

Per the suggestion in this thread, I bought this Kid A on Discogs, and I paid for it on Jan 26. So far no shipping details or any message from the seller. I sent a message yesterday to ask about it. This is the longest I've waited for a Discogs deal to ship. Am I wrong to think it's unreasonable?

Not particularly unreasonable, but some sellers are only shipping once a week and limiting trips to the post office due to COVID. I’d give it a couple more days and then hit the “seller not responding” button if they don’t get back.

Yeah, If you get an original Masterdisk RL (Robert Ludwig) that is clean, that's all you need . Sure they are plentiful in the States . The CB is great too . Who knows what this new press is going to be ,

@Academy . The AB-1006 are the first pressing, done by Bernie Grundman and they are great, there are some that use the AB-1006 plates and have the B scratched out and then a A added for AA-1006 which are the later pressings , and then the 2nd pressings have AA-1006 in the deadwax .
I gotta agree with the others, while I would love to hear the MoFi pressing, I have an OG that sounds fantastic. There are 3 albums that always jump in my head for OG quality on the cheap, Aja would be one, Brothers in Arms and I Robot would be the others, finding a clean OG of any of these isn't that hard and they're reasonably priced.
I'm finding the Quality over Quantity rule to have a sub section called "upgrade must be staggeringly better", because while I would love the MoFi of Aja, as stated, the early pressings are stellar, I really should put some money towards albums I don't have

The Parlophone SOE is still available, so you should jump on that, shouldn't be too expensive and comes with a DVD-A .

I didn’t really realize that they still did 200g! Thought they discontinued it awhile ago!
They could press at 120g and it’d still sound exactly the same. Weight is the biggest gimmick out there!
Edit: I suppose given how shit pressings can be these days the one upside is that it’s probably less likely to warp.

Apparently not. The second part of the email is that AP has a stack of Doors represses at the factory and ready to go out... on 180g vinyl of course
