Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

This is my favorite shipping info menu from VMP. Think has anyone has sprung for the $300 direct ship options, which literally include the same description as the $4.95 direct ship option?

Incidentally, anyone know which option to select if you are non-member? No way in hell am I ever re-joining, but it looks as though the Sonny Sharrock will be a true exclusive and I can pick it up at member pricing through the magazine.

In all seriousness though, this fully demonstrates why you should buy each record as a separate order from them. I was waiting on 2 records which were in stock for weeks and they told me the reason they haven't shipped is that there was a third in the same order which had been delayed. In the end, they did ship them separately but still would have been easier if bought individually.

I'm very hyped for it, but I've had my preorder in since Colemine's was announced.

Y'know, I looked over on their site and yeah, the color variant better matches the artwork and it's a little cheaper even with shipping included. Plus it'll probably ship at least a month before VMP's.

Ok, I'm sold, Colemine it is.

Edit: Hope Colemine's is also a tip-on like VMP. It kind of lends to the retro-authenticity an album like this is shooting for.

Same as what @Djxfactor511 said...ordered from colemine always and forever over VMP and their shit

I've begun to wean myself off VMP as once my sub expires next June I doubt I'll re-up. Both this and the recent Roland Haynes exclusive are two cases where I went with a (cheaper) alternative where in the past I probably would have stuck with VMP. Feels good man.

It's liberating, no doubt....and honestly, the contrast of the experience ordering from a variety of other retailers only accentuates the many ways in which VMP fails to put the customer first, and fails in general.

LMAO. Just got a shipping notice for Just Coolin'. Guess they got some customer feedback about waiting until November's RotM on that. LOL.
It's not like they actually bundle shit anyway. I've already received 3 separate shipments this month with another on the way. If they send me Blakey, that would make 5.

I asked CS and their response was that only people that didnt use the Free Member Shipping option were getting their copies quicker. Not sure how accurate that is, but I was unable to move up my shipping timeframe. Mid-November it is...

Sorry to hear that. It seems the only thing consistent about VMP Customer Service is that it's inconsistent.

Since others are seeing some inconsistencies with Just Coolin' shipping, here's my chain of events -

1) Open a CS ticket when my Classics ships but none of the Exclusives that are showing as in stock ship with it. Elli in CS tells me that this month's snafu was a "bundling error" (i guess another coding debacle in response to September's 'ship each in its own box' problem) and that my remaining Exclusives would ship in the next week
2) I respond to the email about Coolin' being shipped in November, saying that since I'm still expecting another shipment this month, please include it with those. Elli responds, telling me that she's marked it for release to ship now
3) I receive a shipping notice for Coolin' shortly after that, but nothing else. Elli has yet to respond to my follow-up.
