Pre-Order Thread

I don't know if this has been posted yet but it seems pretty cool.

BSCBR is a group of Black Sabbath lovers hailing from New York City. The group consists of Brad Truax (Interpol), Mick Barr (Ocrilim, Krallice), Greg Fox, Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeahs), and Angel Deradoorian (Dirty Projectors, Deradoorian)

I guess they didn't list the last two, which are Peggy Lee and George Russell. Man, Love Supreme pushed back to Oct. 9!
I'm pretty happy with my copies of Love Supreme and Getz/Gilberto. I think I might only spring for Nina and maaaybe upgrade my Ballads depending on how people think they sound.

I've never gotten around to grabbing either so I'm in for those two and the Ninas. Not sure if I'll pick up anything else right now, but I really hope they keep going.

Please let us know how they sound! I’m cautiously optimistic about them since AP and AS do great work. I hope they rival the Tone Poet series or at least BN80s.
I'd imagine they should sound as good as any other AP 33rpm pressing, right? Same people, same process, same price. Well, I guess only as good as the source tapes, but thats true with any AP pressing.

I'd hope. They are pressed at QRP (not RTI like some of the other APs are). And most of the APs I have are done by Kevin Gray but this series seems to be done by Ryan Smith, George Marino and others. I'm hoping they are great and successful so that they do a ton of them!

Really? I thought almost all were QRP. I've had good luck with QRP except occasionally their spindle holes are a little big. I have so many dish warps from RTI it's hard for me to consider them amazing.

Unless my discogs is incorrect...seems like nearly all of my AP records are pressed at RTI. Every Blue Note AP I have is RTI. I have a lot of 2x45s though so wonder if the 33 is at QRP and 45 are at RTI? I've never had any issues with RTI pressings so maybe I'm just lucky!

I think the Prestige Monos and Beach Boys were QRP. Not sure if I have anything else.

Edit: Oh I also have Black Saint, Herbie Headhunters (which is RKS), and Guaraldi Christmas. All QRP and all sound excellent.

All of the Acoustic Sounds/Universal AAA series are up for pre-order now! They should all be available from your usual suspects. Excited for this series!

Pumped for that Sarah Vaughan. Its been my most searched used release for yesrs now and I have yet to find an affordable copy in good shape. This pressing may be my most anticipated release this year.

Good point on Kevin Gray not doing the mastering - my brain told me Kevin Gray when I read Ryan Smith. Hopefully no less great though.
