Vinyl Me Please Rap & Hip Hop

@NathanRicaud you have heard Jolene right? That song and album are both beautiful pieces of work. And Dolly is one of the sexiest of all time.
Yes, I've got the VMP exclusive of Dolly Parton's Jolene! I really like that exclusive! I love the song "Jolene" so much and "I Will Always Love You" too! The album is a really sweet, cute, sincere and lovey-dovey listen. ♥

mmmm interesting you say Dolly is one of the sexiest of all-time! 😵🙉 I can't agree with you there, especially if you're talking about Dolly musically, but I definitely can see where you're coming from! 💯

Oh yeah I forgot that was an exculsive. Old school Dolly was sexy to me, but I'm a sucker for a pretty girl with as little twang. Also one last sexy country tune for the rhh thread 😝

I think I just don't find country music sexy. For me, that song you just linked wasn't sexy to my ears. I tried, but...didn't get the sex from it. As for Dolly Parton, if we're talking old-school 70's, someone like Betty Davis was very sexy musically for me. Her music was literally like sex on a platter, it was raunchy, feisty, horny, dirty, and just yearned for sexual pleasure.

A pop song I find super sexy is Kim Carnes' "Bette Davis Eyes" and Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill"! For me, they both have that lustful, breathy yet striking, dynamic loveability, dreamy kind of sound! I can see how some country songs would be sexy, and I think Dolly's Jolene is a little bit sexy. But if I compare a song such as Jolene to other 70's songs I find sexy like Donna Summer's Love To Love You Baby, Minnie Riperton's Inside My Love or Sylvia's Pillow Talk, then I don't find Jolene that sexy.

Like.....I can't imagine any country music being baby-making music! 🙈 But at the same-time, I think I'm just very particular with what I consider to be a sexy song! Like, if you were to ask me what's a really, really sexy song, I'd say Marvin Gaye's "I Want You" or Maxwell's "Til The Cops Come Knockin" ! :devilish:🤷‍♂️💦

use to really like listening to outlaw country when i use to drink but gave up drinking yrs. ago outside of outlaw and some '90s country i don't really care for "new country" music.i do still enjoy Sturgill Simpson,Kacey Musgraves,Chris Stapleton & Jason Isbell but most of the time wouldn't go out of my way to listen to it.also in the political climate we're in alot of country music puts me off knowing the demographic of people who listen to it.some of my all time fav country albums are.Ray Charles - Modern Sounds in Country & Western Music Vol.1 & 2,Willie Nelson - Red Headed Stranger,Johnny Cash - At Folsom Prison,Kris Kristofferson - The Silver Tongued Devil And I,Steve Earle - El Corazon,George Jones - Alone Again and Townes Van Zandt - Live at the Old Quarter, Houston, Texas.all tho i'm not religious probably my all time fav country song would be Willie Nelson with Ray Charles - Seven Spanish Angels. (this song is sexy in my opinion lol)

I'm gonna get so much shit for this, but you know what I think is the sexiest country song ever? Mac DeMarco's "My Kind Of Woman". For me, the very sexy, swaying, seductive guitar playing and Mac DeMarco's effortlessly romantic vocals are sexy AF! That song isn't even completely country, but that's the closest it's going to be with me considering a country song 'very' sexy! 🙈 😏

You know who Mac DeMarco is friends with? And DeMarco appears in one of his videos riding a mechanical bull?

Orville Peck.

That's what we call BRINGING IT ON HOME KIDS

@NathanRicaud okay okay for real this time. Alternative Country?

OMG, is this song really considered 'country' music?!?! 🤔🤠🤯

I don't think I like that track at all unfortunately. But that's because that song is not my thing sound wise, like...it's not tasteful to my ears. Nothing with the song personally though, it's just me and my appreciation for that kind of sound! 😅

Lol you beat me to it. I was too busy finding the video...

Orville Peck is so intriguing! He's so mysterious with his face mask, a bit like MF DOOM & Daft Punk! He seems like he's got a lot of swag too, like he's very trendy and hip! I definitely dig him aesthetically, just not so much musically. But I can imagine in the future, him dropping an album that I love because he is pretty alternative! 😃

You seem to like more breathy women singers. Have you checked out Patsy Cline? Crazy in particular?

I did check out Patsy Cline out because VMP sold an Analogue Productions pressing of one her records in their store! I regret not picking it up; I put other AP titles as a priority to buy and as a result, missed out on it! I love Patsy Cline! She is great and I need to discover more of her music and pick some of her albums/compilations up on vinyl! 🥰

I do like breathy women singers for sure! When it comes to my taste of sexy music though (like songs/artists I consider to have sexy songs/sexy albums), it's much more male dominated than female however. All my favourite 'sexy' albums are by male musicians! I was just naming a lot of female musicians because we were talking about Dolly Parton ☺

There's a good thirdman compilation of Patsy Cline recordings. And i think you can usually find TMR stuff in Australia.
