Hip Hop

Weird.

I highly doubt DRW would sell it if it was a bootleg.
Maybe its more likely that blackmarket worked with DRW on this release and madesicc are angry because blackmarket beat them to it lol

But i dont know much bout madesicc or black market so I got no idea.

Lynch was supposed to have the rights to his music now. Black Market is out licensing this shit to beat them to it.

Madesicc is Lynch. Black Marketis the original label that wouldn't release the rights to him forever

Oh ok.

Still nothing to worry bout. The audio quality I feel will probably be better then a madesicc version tbh.
And if it is a bootleg then lynch will sue and get alot of money.
So everyone wins.

Late night baked query: Pretty much convinced that Hiding Places is probably my favorite listen over the past 5+ years. Billy Woods is a wordsmith and Kenny Segal creates grimy, hypnotic beats that I really, really, really dig. Any other recommendations that might fall along those same lines?
if you haven't already checked out Billy Woods - History Will Absolve Me in my opinion his best project.

If you havent already, make sure to check out his Armand Hammer projects with Elucid, as well as Elucid's solo work, especially Shit Don't Rhyme No More. I would also check out Ka if you really like to dive into wordy stuff with minimalist beats.

Hard to know what you're already familiar with, but if you want some grimy beats with intense wordsmith rapping, you should enjoy Cannibal Ox - The Cold Vein.

Man, thanks again @Vinyl&Kicks86 @Tj. @dhodo and everyone else for the recommendations 🔥 Stumbled upon Woods & Segal w/ the Hiding Places release last year along with Terror Management. Slowly working my way thru the B. Woods catalog and definitely will pick up History Will Absolve Me sooner than later. Picked up the Shines LP from Armand Hammer. It's good but doesn't quite hit that Hiding Places level, in my humble opinion. Plan on picking up Paraffin soon so we'll see how that digests. Need to check out Ka apparently. Have yet to listen to anything from Cannibal Ox, so that's on the list. Ordered a copy of Back at the House earlier this week to get a little more of that Segal flavor. There's SO MUCH out there that needs a listen... just need the time and some more fun $$$ ;)

If you're talking vinyl, you're going to need a lot of that fun $$$ if you want any billy woods vinyl besides Hiding Places and Shrines at the moment. :ROFLMAO:

There's been some rumblings about some back catalogue reissues that I hope come to fruition. Seems like they should, but I'm not sure what the hold up is.

You are in for a treat on Can Ox. Nothing like it. Incredible production by El-P as well. billy is/was friends with Vordul Mega and I think he helped him get some traction at his start. Hope you dig it.

not sure you need to listen to anything after The Cold Vein from Cannibal Ox, which is their debut. that could be a debatable statement but I wouldn't even really know because while I've listened to some of their follow ups they never grabbed my attention like The Cold Vein.

Ka is not someone I've listened to much, but everything I've heard from him is pretty fucking dope.
