I think The Shacks is the only Rising I've ever bought. Haven't really listened to it but once or twice since getting it either... Maybe need to add it to the growing stack of stuff I'm gonna sell... (spoiler alert: I may be posting a bunch of stuff for sale within the next week or two)

The Shacks LP is perfect summer music, you should give it another spin on a warm sunny day then sell it in the Fall.

My favorite discovery via VMP Rising has to be Kate Bollinger. Such a great EP, and all of her other singles are solid.

that charlotte day wilson release was the true aotm for me that month (over mitski and whatever else was out that month). and, like you, it’s the only rising release i’ve bothered with.

That Charlotte Day Wilson is great, definitely my favorite Rising release. There had been some talk of a full-length album, but that hasn't seemed to go anywhere.

I’m still waiting for my Los Amigos Invisibles. I emailed CS a couple days ago, and haven’t has a response. Do they normally take this long?

Update: got a reply, apparently when you order multiple records at the same time, they wait until all items are in stock to ship. This must be new, I’ve never had this happen with VMP before. Anyways, they said they’d be happy to ship the missing record now! I really thought I had missed out, so I’m thrilled!

Yeah I have it and honestly it’s crackly but it’s a dead oceans press, they really need to sort their shit out with their pressings.

unpopular opinion, these Sharky songs are great and this is the first rising artist I’ve purchased in a long time. Then again, I listen to The Shacks rising release pretty often still

tbh I think it's 100% for me. Charlotte Day Wilson may be was the only exception because of the song she did with BADBADNOTGOOD.

Perhaps not coincidentally hers is the only Rising release I own.

For my money, Nathan Bajar is one of the best Rising albums. I have listened to that a lot more than I care to get into, it just struck all the right nerves with me.

The new Boris album would be a pretty cool album to have through VMP. There's not enough punk or metal in their catalog and this new album would fill both niches perfectly.
