Neverending Covid-19 Coronavirus

Ontario is likely to follow tomorrow.
Premier Doug Ford has ordered the closure of all non-essential workplaces in Ontario amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Ford said the order is to take effect Tuesday at 11:59 p.m. and will be in effect for at least 14 days.

Same with us. Starts tomorrow 11:59 pm. But 3 weeks.

Ontario reported 78 new coronavirus cases in the province Monday, bringing the total number of active cases to 489. It marked the largest single-day increase of cases in the province since the outbreak began. 😔

Louisiana's governor is saying today that the State of Louisiana currently has worst rate of increase in the world when compared to any country or other state in the US.
We're number one!! We're number one!!
This isn't surprising. Mardi Gras was Feb 25th and I suspect that a lot of people came into contact with others that were traveling from all over the world.

Here it is!! The non-anxiety corona virus thread.

No disrespect, but weren't you upset that actions weren't taken quicker? What about the currant policy / quarantine has you on edge compared to what you were expecting?

That's just the reality of what we've been reduced to. I'm all for closing shops and public spaces, doesn't mean I'm not nervous about lunatics like Johnson and Cummings wielding such power. I'm not convinced they're going to give it all back when it's over.

Word. Same applies to Trump here. Hell, Dems are already being demonized for (rightfully) rejecting a package that basically amounted to a corporate giveaway. We are probably inching too close to the politics side of things now (though I'm not sure how it's possible to separate the reality of the two I'll leave that to others for now).

GA Governor issued a Shelter in Place for at risk people. I mean... Note really sure how that's any different, that what we've been doing. Are they going to stop everyone, ask their age and medical history? Come on.

GA Gov. Brian Kemp orders 'shelter-in-place' for those who have increased risk of catching COVID-19

Everyone is "at risk" of catching it. Elderly are more at risk of dying from it.

Hell....a 27 year-old co-worker with a past history of asthma tested positive last night and is in the ICU.
