I got the same email saying my Live at Club Mozambique (which is already out) was holding up my order.

I also got this, too ..... actually I have now received five delay emails from uDiscover on two orders for Blue Notes I made in early December when they had a nice sale going on. I just emailed CS to see if perhaps I could pay them to somehow ship the albums they actually do have on hand so some might eventually get here :) (crosses fingers)

I've gotten five as well. Maybe I'll email to find out exactly what is going on instead of my original plan of waiting and hoping for the best.

They are fucking expensive but I’m pleased to have both so far.

Also, Carol from Music Matters is gonna see if she can find me a replacement jacket. So does that mean I should spin away with the record. Or may they want me to send it back?

Any replacements I have received from MMJ have been just the record in a plain sleeve or an empty jacket.
 
Finally received a shipping notice for my two Art Blakey live records, the newish Miles Davis - Birth of the Cool 2LP set, Grant Green - Alive, and Queens of the Stone Age - Lullabies to Paralyze yesterday.

I made that purchase on Black Friday.

My other purchase with the new Tone Poets and some of the latest BN80s keeps getting pushed back. Last I saw, it was some time in mid to late February.

I’ll wait, I’m patient...enough.
Plus I’ve so many records I need to spin more.
 
I also couldn't control myself and ordered a copy of MMJ's new Art Blakey SRX, it should arrive here in Austria within the next few days.
This will be my third pressing of one of my all-time favourite Jazz albums, besides a 1959 stereo OG and a pretty good sounding WaxTime release.

Here a question to you guys, just for personal interest and to be able to compare pressings and even get a better understanding of this...
Could you recommend a really really bad pressing of this record? Maybe one with really bad mastering, or where you can even hear some MP3 artifacts or similar issues...
I'd like to have the different pressings of the same record (original, audiophile, crappy,...), to compare pressings in-house or for future hifi purchases/plans...

I would say the Dol or WaxTime pressings would be the worst, easily available pressings. I am tempted to throw the the 75th Anniversary pressing in, but at least that was mastered by Grundman even if the pressing is reportedly bad.

I am glad I snagged one. They are now also OOS. I'm going to A/B it against my "regular" MM press once it arrives.

I do have a 2012 WaxTime pressing of Moanin', and it actually sounds quite good, however not as good as my OG. And all DOL / Waxtime / Jazz Images /... pressings have quite good ratings on Discogs.

I used to have a cheap unofficial pressing of Kind of Blue, I don't remember which label. You could hear MP3 artifacts in silent parts and the overall sound of the record was just bad - it sounded like a 128kbit MP3 (or worse) played over an AM radio. That's what I'm looking for with Moanin'
