Hmm I haven't really checked the /r/vinylmeplease front page since I left a week ago, lemme just hop in and see how it's holding u-

Except the hallway is also on fire, and so is the door, and so is everything and everyone else. And the pizzas are Extra Meaty.

Seeing all these people receiving SO many more records than they ordered is insane on its own, but when you think about it from a money standpoint, some of these over-shipments total up near $1000's worth of free records. The virtuous side of me would realize that sending them back is the right thing to do, but the broke college student side of me would be looking at those records like "I could sell these below MSRP on Discogs and that'd cover this month's phone bill, internet bill, insurance, electricity, groceries/food budget..."

Unbelievable. In addition to various other unintended consequences, they could be wrecking marriages with these shenanigans.

Hard to imagine Storf coming back to the VMP subreddit at this point...and still no comments allowed on instagram. Where is the "community"? Oh well, I'm sure they will be rolling out that new and improved forum any day now...

Same, although they pretty much ran out the clock and all of my orders were either fulfilled or refunded. Of course, one of those refunds went to a canceled credit card so it'll get bounced. I sent them an email asking they refund it another way and I'm currently on auto-email response number 3 for that particular request.

I wasn't sure how deep the collab between them was but I did recall hearing they were working on stuff together. I have no idea if that partnership is still a thing, but if it is, I can see Pitchfork not wanting attention to be drawn to the failures of a business they've endorsed in the past or are even still looking to work with in the future.

Is anyone friends with him on Facebook or follow him on Instagram? It's not just Reddit, I haven't seen him post anything ANYWHERE since Christmas Eve. That's what makes me wonder if there's something more going on with him than just not wanting to deal with angry redditors.

He did mention that he was in the process of moving, so that could be the reason. Still, I know he has been fairly prolific on twitter, so the radio silence is a bit odd.

VISA card tied to my bank account. Card canceled and replaced with a new card number because it might have been compromised at Wawa, but the bank account is still there. So... maybe? If Paypal can figure out it goes to a bank account and send it there that should be good, but I haven't seen any movement yet.

Someone mentioned he's in the middle of moving.
 
You should still get a credit since it's tied to the same account. I had this happen with my Citi credit card that was "compromised" and a new one was issued. Got refunds on purchases made prior to the card being cancelled. They just moved the balance over to the new card.

Yeah, I would've figured over the course of 2 weeks we would have heard SOMETHING from him, which makes me worry in equal parts about his job security/overall health.
