It’s because Reddit is a faceless mass of people. Storf is right that more people are members of the subreddit, but that’s purely because the barrier to entry is zero.

The forum had thousands, but just like reddit, that doesn't mean that they were active members.

The saddest part is they were the “good” record club.
 
In other news my account profile -- which has surprisingly been pretty much fine during this whole mess -- just suddenly reverted back into the "We're upgrading our system!" message, preventing me from seeing my ROTM selections. I have yet to be charged for my add-on.

Good times, good times.

A VMP employee once told me they found Severan to be a very challenging person to work with on a personal level. At the time I found those comments to give insight into some of the things we may not have been privy to as the forum. Now I wonder how much they reflect on the culture of the company that ousted him. Little of this, little of that, probably.

You PAY them for a service. If you stopped paying, they would immediately discontinue said service. VMP doesn't care about you as an individual customer, let alone as a human being.

The vast majority of people aren't aware of these QC issues because they aren't here or on Reddit, so VMPs bottom line isn't affected a fly's fart by any individual's dissatisfaction. The only effect threatening to quit will have on Pauly is that he will dream of one less email in his queue. Believing anything else is setting yourself up for some major disappointment.
