Vinyl Me Please Essentials

Am I the only one who has never listened to Songs for the Deaf?
It's...fine. IMO Rated R is the best thing they ever did and while SFTD is a really solid record; I think most of the adoration of the album in the vinyl community has more to do with the lack of official reissues. If you like QOTSA, you will likely enjoy this record.

Call me cynical, but this reads like they're trying to lock in and goose up their 2019 earnings. Maybe they're fundraising? To be honest, I don't really have a problem with this, it just seems (again) like they don't have much of a plan or just deviate off of the script as needed.
Yeah that’s kind of what it seems like. I think we can see a slow/underwhelming first part of 2020 for releases.

Is that anything new? The first ROTM after the one-two of Gorillaz and Fiona Apple was Kevin fucking Morby lol. It's not completely out of character for VMP to sandwich (or hot dog?) two big-gets next to each other and then sorta lull down for a while

If I was still a member I’d be super-excited, and having just cancelled my membership, I probably left at the worst time.

Having said that, I’m not going to rejoin. I’ve never been one to get vinyl versions of albums I have on CD, and I’m 2 for 3 here. I’m sure I’ll be able to pick these up at some future point.

Also, is it the UK or US track list for The Soft Bulletin? Assuming US...

It does suck because there is already a great version of this put out by Rhino. I'm hoping they do exclusives for this, most notably Young Gifted and Black

Young Gifted and Black would be amazing. I'm looking forward to this though, I go the rhino Atlantic box of Aretha, and wasn't impressed with the sound quality. Ryan Smith AAA pressing is exciting.

for those on the monthly plan or who plan to re-activate their canceled monthly plans, DJ Pauly B from VMP support just told me this, when I asked about monthly members getting it.

"Oh yeah, we are editing that article, as it definitely made it sound like even people on monthly options were screwed, but no worries, you're all good :)"

I just picked up a strong VG copy of Young, Gifted And Black for 50 cents recently, I probably don't need an upgrade at this point.

What's up with the monthly options, anyway? That's an option on my account, but is that just because I've been a member for 3-ish years? It also looks like I'm still on the older pricing scheme at $75 / 3 months.

I've been a member off and on for a few years and have never done more than a month at a time. I've always been able to re-up with my month to month subscription.
