The War On Drugs – I Don't Live Here Anymore

This is an interesting band to me. I have most of their stuff excluding live albums and their 1st album. But I don't really know if I like them or not. I can listen to them, and it's fine. I don't dislike it. But I really don't go back and pull their stuff out and listen to it again.

Looking back on my posts I've listened to each one exactly one time each...

Michael Garrick Sextet - Jazz Praises (Airbourne Records, 1968 First Signed Pressing)

Progressive jazz mixed with gospel, all recorded live in St Paul's Cathedral here in London. The music drifts from full force jazz (mind blowing stuff) to jazz with gospel backing, on to atmospheric light numbers. Really great stuff and this has the added bonus of being signed by Michael Garrick.

Joe Harriott Quintet - Southern Horizons (Jazzland, 1960 First Sample Pressing)

Another killer British jazz release. This isn't the best ever recorded album of Harriott's though, at times there's a little bit of reverb which I thought might be a dodgy pressing but it seems to be on the recording itself. Not too distracting though and it's still a fantastic performance.
