What's Spinning

JME - Grime Mc (Boy Better Know, 2019 Limited 2lp Picture Disk pressing - signed)

Picked up at the instore signing/gig. Was listening to this guy when I was a teenager and finally got a chance to meet him/see him live. 19 year old me would have been going crazy tonight :ROFLMAO:

The agutierrezb 2019 record collection challenge

So I've decided to embark on my own personal challenge, which consists of listening every record in my collection before the end of the year. My record collection is not that big -only ~250-, but I still feel like there are a bunch of records I don't give enough attention to, while still adding more titles to my shelves.

For this reason I've set a couple of rules in order to play every record at least once before December 31st: I'll play at least one record a day, going from front to back in the way I have them sorted in my shelf. I can play a different record (i.e. Not the next one in alphabetical order) if I feel like listening to something else in any given moment, but at least one of the records I spin in the day has to be the LP in turn.

I didn't take pictures for the first two days, but I'll try to document the process from here on, so I'll be posting daily on this thread. Wish me luck!
#112: Johnny Griffin - A Blowing Session

Muriel Grossmann ‎– Reverence (RR GEMS, 2019 limited pressing)

I was saving this but the review @POGunter put on here made me crack it open. The whole package just oozes quality. Thick cardboard gatefold (with a thick spine) with some interesting artwork and great liner notes. 2 heavy records which sound fantastic. Perfect spiritual jazz. Cant find a single thing wrong here, top quality stuff! Now I eagerly await a Golden Rule repress!

George Harrison- Cloud Nine

Secret Santa made a visit to Chez Hi Fi Guy today. Nailed this one. Great album, great pressing.

I haven't bought many albums lately because Alfa Romeo. After Monday's service, things will calm down for a year. Tires and serpentine belts aren't nearly as fun as new albums.

Thank you Secret Santa!

I know what I'm playing later!

This one needs no introductions.View attachment 24464

I think Rocky Racoon may be one of my favorite Beatles songs.

I've literally heard that album a thousand times. My favorites change all the time. Right now I'd say Back in the USSR and Don't Pass Me By are favorites. That could change tomorrow though.
