During this Non-New Orleans Record purge there have just been some that I can’t let go of, I’ve noticed most of it has been Funk but yeah...I don’t know if whoever reads this has listened to the past 3 albums I’ve posted...but I just couldn’t bring myself to ever let some of this shit go l. Most of these aren’t even rare/valuable necessarily but god damn they should be.
And with just one, not even top-tier New Orleans album, I am reminded why I’m okay with havin an all NOLA collection...we just do it best in all regards. Funk, Jazz, Rap, Metal, Blues, Soul. We had/have it all.
N&G AOTMs have brought some great music to mty door.
Loving Dylan le Blanc right now.
Ruen Brothers coming up next.
Then Caleb Elliott
Nicole Atikins
Lou Reed
and if i still have time Mark de Clive Lowe I & II
Tis a good afternoon and i have the house to myself. !!
Joe Henderson, Kenny Dorham, McCoy Tyner (aka "Etc." on many Blue Note album covers for some inexplicable reason), Richard Davis, and Elvin Jones. You can't go wrong with a lineup like this.
To echo what's been said in the Blue Note Thread, it was a really wonderful surprise to see they changed the sleeves from the horrible, tight, staticky, paper ones to these way nicer lined ones. Probably won't even bother changing it out for a mofi sleeve.
