The Dave Brubeck Quartet - The Last Set At Newport (Atlantic, 1972 First Italian Pressing)

I played this last night and its been in my head ever since. Its just incredible and totally unexpected from Brubeck, very different to his studio albums. Hes almost trying to overcompensate for the fact that his acoustic set followed an electric one, so hes bashing the keys to make a percussive sound. Really amazing stuff and Gerry Mulligan's inclusion is a real treat!

Really happy with this Compilation. I still want albums but with RSD E. 1999 Eternal being generic cover and overly expensive resale after missing out in store, this is an excellent cheap alternative as a first BTNH vinyl purchase, I love all the tracks on here start to end
